Little Love Penguin

Starting out:

*You will need: Paint Shop Pro 7.04 or higher.
*The zip file is here.

Open the Heart Angel psp file provided.

Selections will be opened by going to Selections > Load From Alpha Channel

** 01 - Body

  • Highlight layer 01 - Body Black.
  • Load the 01 Body Black selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #5B5757.

** 02 - Head

  • Highlight layer 02 - Head Black.
  • Load the 02 Head Black selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #5B5757.
  • Deselect.
  • Apply an Inner Bevel with these settings:

    Bevel: Pie Wedge || Width: 31 || Smoothness: 38 || Depth: 8 || Ambiance: 0 || Shininess: 50
    Color: White (#FFFFFF) || Angle: 0 || Intensity: 30 || Elevation: 30

** 03 - Body/Head

  • Highlight layer 03 - Head/Body White.
  • Load the 03 Head-Body White selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #FFFFFF.
  • Invert and apply a Drop Shadow with the following settings:
    Vertical and Horizontal: 0 || Opacity: 100 || Blur: 18 || Color: #808080

** 04 - Heart

  • Highlight layer 04 - Heart.
  • Load the 04 Heart selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #C00000.
  • Invert and apply a Drop Shadow with the following settings:
    Vertical and Horizontal: 0 || Opacity: 100 || Blur: 25 || Color: #560000
  • Apply Noise at 2%.

** 05 - Right Wing

  • Highlight layer 05 - Right Wing.
  • Load the 05 Right Wing selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #5B5757.
  • Deselect.
  • Apply the same Inner Bevel, but change the Angle to: 298

** 06 - Left Wing

  • Highlight layer 06 - Left Wing.
  • Load the 06 Left Wing selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #5B5757.
  • Deselect.
  • Apply the same Inner Bevel, but change the Angle to: 71

** 07 - Left Foot

  • Highlight layer 07 - Left Foot.
  • Load the 07 Left Foot selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #E89A12.

** 08 - Right Foot

  • Highlight layer 08 - Right Foot.
  • Load the 08 Right Foot selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #E89A12.

** 09 - Lower Beak

  • Highlight layer 09 - Lower Beak.
  • Load the 09 Lower Beak selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #E89A12.
  • Make the LBeak Shading layer visible.

** 10 - Upper Beak

  • Highlight layer 10 - Upper Beak.
  • Load the 10 Upper Beak selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #E89A12.

** Finishing Up...

Make the Feet Shading, UBeak Shading, and Eyes/Brows layers visible.
