Love Bear

Starting out:

*You will need: Paint Shop Pro 7.04 or higher || Eye Candy 3.1
*The zip file is here.

Open the Love Bear PSP file provided.

Selections will be opened by going to Selections > Load From Alpha Channel

** 01 - Seat

  • Highlight layer Seat.
  • Load the Seat selection.
  • Flood fill with the color: #800000


  • SAME LAYER -- Load Seat Dark selection.
  • Brightness/Contrast with the following settings:
    Brightness: -70 (minus 70) || Contrast: 0


  • SAME LAYER -- Load Seat Light selection.
  • Brightness/Contrast with the following settings:
    Brightness: 40 || Contrast: 0
  • Deselect
  • Apply Noise at 3%

** 02 - Outer Ears

  • Highlight layer Outer Ears.
  • Load the Outer Ears selection.
  • Flood fill with the color: #F3F3D7 (Light Fur)
  • Invert and apply a Drop Shadow with the following settings:
    Vertical and Horizontal: 0 || Opacity: 100 || Blur: 23.5 || Color: #A49862
  • Deselect.
  • Apply Noise at 6%
  • Finally, apply an Eye Candy *jiggle* with the following settings:
    Bubble Size: 8 || Warp Amount: 6 || Twist: 75 || Movement: Brownian Motion
Note: These Eye Candy settings will stay the same throughout this tutorial.

** 03 - Inner Ears

  • Highlight layer Inner Ears.
  • Load the Inner Ears selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #D3CEB5 (Dark Fur)
  • Invert and apply the same drop shadow.
  • Deselect.
  • Apply Noise at 6%
  • Apply the Eye Candy *jiggle*

** 04 - Body

  • Highlight layer Body.
  • Load the Body selection.
  • Flood fill with the color: #F3F3D7 (Light Fur)
  • Invert and apply the same drop shadow.
  • Deselect.
  • Apply Noise at 6%
  • Apply the Eye Candy *jiggle*

** 05 - Head

  • Highlight layer Head.
  • Load the Head selection.
  • Flood fill with the color: #F3F3D7 (Light Fur)
  • Invert and apply the same drop shadow.
  • Deselect.
  • Apply Noise at 6%
  • Apply the Eye Candy *jiggle*

** 06 - Heart 1

  • Highlight layer Heart 1.
  • Load the Heart 1 selection.
  • Flood fill with the color: #800000


  • SAME LAYER -- Load Heart 1 Dark selection.
  • Brightness/Contrast with the following settings:
    Brightness: -70 (minus 70) || Contrast: 0
  • Deselect.
  • Apply Noise at 3%

** 07 - Arms

  • Highlight layer Arms.
  • Load the Arms selection.
  • Flood fill with the color: #F3F3D7 (Light Fur)
  • Invert and apply the same drop shadow.
  • Deselect.
  • Apply Noise at 6%
  • Apply the Eye Candy *jiggle*

** 08 - Feet

  • Highlight layer Feet.
  • Load the Feet selection.
  • Flood fill with the color: #F3F3D7 (Light Fur)
  • Invert and apply the same drop shadow.
  • Deselect.
  • Apply Noise at 6%
  • Apply the Eye Candy *jiggle*

** 09 - Feet Pads

  • Highlight layer Feet Pads.
  • Load the Feet Pads selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #D3CEB5 (Dark Fur)
  • Invert and apply the same drop shadow.
  • Deselect.
  • Apply Noise at 6%
  • Apply the Eye Candy *jiggle*

** 10 - Heart 2

  • Highlight layer Heart 2.
  • Load the Heart 2 selection.
  • Flood fill with the color: #800000


  • SAME LAYER -- Load Heart 2 Dark selection.
  • Brightness/Contrast with the following settings:
    Brightness: -70 (minus 70) || Contrast: 0
  • Deselect.
  • Apply Noise at 3%

** 11 - I love you Text

  • Highlight layer I love you Text.
  • Load the I love you selection.
  • Flood fill with the color: #FFFFFF (White)

** 12 - Muzzle

  • Highlight layer Muzzle.
  • Load the Muzzle selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #D3CEB5 (Dark Fur)
  • Invert and apply the same drop shadow.
  • Apply this Drop Shadow *TWICE*
  • Deselect.
  • Apply Noise at 6%
  • Apply the Eye Candy *jiggle*

** 13 - Eyes

  • Highlight layer Eyes.
  • Load the Eyes selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #000000 (Black)
  • Deselect.
  • Apply an Inner Bevel with the Round preset.
  • Apply the same Drop Shadow, but change the following:
    Blur: 7.4 || Color: #544E32

** 14 - Tongue

  • Highlight layer Tongue.
  • Load the Tongue selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #C00000
  • Invert and apply the same Drop Shadow.

** 15 - Mouth - Freckles

  • Highlight layer Mouth - Freckles.
  • Load the Mouth - Freckles selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #000000 (Black)

** 16 - Nose

  • Highlight layer Nose.
  • Load the Nose selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #000000 (Black)

** 17 - Nose Highlight

  • Highlight layer Nose Highlight.
  • Load the Nose Highlight selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #FFFFFF (White)
  • Deselect.

** Idea: You could erase the bottom part of the Seat and use him as an angel bear.
