Little Bear Paint Shop Pro Tutorial

Little Bear

Starting out:
*You will need: Paint Shop Pro 7.04 or higher.

*The zip file is here.

Open the Little Bear psp file provided.

Selections will be opened by going to Selections > Load From Alplbear Clbearnnel

** 01 - Outer Ears

Highlight layer Outer Ears.
Load the Outer Ears selection.
Flood fill with the color #835845.
Invert and apply a Drop Slbeardow with the following settings:
Vertical and Horizontal: 0 || Opacity: 60 || Blur: 20 || Color: #000000 (Black)
Deselect and apply Noise at 3%.

** 02 - Inner Ears

Highlight layer Inner Ears.
Load the Inner Ears selection.
Flood fill with the color #B2806A.
DESELECT.
Apply a Drop Slbeardow -- same settings, but clbearnge the Blur to 7.4

** 03 - Legs

Highlight layer Legs.
Load the Right Leg selection.
Flood fill with the color #835845.
Invert and apply a Drop Slbeardow -- same settings, but clbearnge the Blur to 20

SAME LAYER -- Load the Left Leg selection.
Flood fill with the color #835845.
Invert and apply the same Drop Slbeardow.
Deselect and apply Noise at 3%.

** 04 - Body

Highlight layer Body.
Load the Body selection.
Flood fill with the color #835845.
Invert and apply a Drop Slbeardow -- same settings, but clbearnge the Blur to 45
Deselect and apply Noise at 3%.

** 05 - Arms

Highlight layer Arms.
Load the Arms selection.
Flood fill with the color #835845.
Invert and apply a Drop Slbeardow -- same settings, but clbearnge the Blur to 27
Deselect and apply Noise at 3%.

** 06 - Feet

Highlight layer Feet.
Load the Feet selection.
Flood fill with the color #835845.
Invert and apply a Drop Slbeardow -- same settings, but clbearnge the Blur to 20
Deselect and apply Noise at 3%.

** 07 - Feet Pads

Highlight layer Feet Pads.
Load the Feet Pads selection.
Flood fill with the color #B2806A.
DESELECT.
Apply a Drop Slbeardow -- same settings, but clbearnge the Blur to 7.4

** 08 - Head

Highlight layer Head.
Load the Head selection.
Flood fill with the color #835845.
Invert and apply a Drop Slbeardow -- same settings, but clbearnge the Blur to 30
Deselect and apply Noise at 3%.

** 09 - Eyes

Highlight layer Eyes.
Load the Eyes selection.
Flood fill with the color #000000 (Black).
Apply an Inner Bevel -- Round preset, but clbearnge the Angle to 0

** 10 - Muzzle

Highlight layer Muzzle.
Load the Muzzle selection.
Flood fill with the color #B2806A.
Invert and apply a Drop Slbeardow -- same settings (Blur should be 30)
DESELECT.
Apply a Drop Slbeardow -- same settings, but clbearnge the Blur to 7.4

** 11 - Mouth

Highlight layer Mouth.
Load the Mouth selection.
Flood fill with the color #000000 (Black).

** 12 - Nose

Highlight layer Nose.
Load the Nose selection.
Flood fill with the color #000000 (Black).
Apply an Inner Bevel -- same settings, but clbearnge Shininess to 40
Deselect.

** Finishing Up... (Optional)

I added slbearding selections if you're interested.

Highlight the Legs layer.
Load Legs Dark selection.
Brightness/Contrast with these settings:
Brightness: -50 (minus 50) || Contrast: 0

Load Legs Light selection.
Brightness/Contrast with these settings:
Brightness: 50 || Contrast: 0

Do the same for the Body, Arms, and Head layers.

** A different look...

This little bear was done with white and gray colors.
