Honey Bear

Starting out:
*You will need: Paint Shop Pro 7.04 or higher || Eye Candy 3.1

*The zip file is here.

Open the Honey Bear and Wood files.

Selections will be opened by going to Selections > Load From Disk

** 01 - Body

Highlight layer Body.
Load the 01-Body selection.
Flood fill with the color #C0C0C0.
Invert and apply a Drop Shadow with the following settings:
Vertical and Horizontal: 0 || Opacity: 100 || Blur: 28 || Color: #000000 (Black)
Deselect.
Apply Noise at 3%
Apply an Eye Candy *jiggle* with these settings:
Bubble Size: 10 || Warp Amount: 6 || Twist: 90 || Movement Type: Brownian Motion

*Note: These Eye Candy *jiggle* settings will be the same throughout the tutorial.

SAME LAYER -- Load the 02-Body Dark selection.
Brightness/Contrast -- Brightness -50 (minus 50) || Contrast: 0

SAME LAYER -- Load the 03-Body Light selection
Brightness/Contrast -- Change the Brightness to 50.

** 02 - Inner Ears

Highlight layer Inner Ears.
Load the 04-Inner Ears selection.
Flood fill with the color #FFFFFF.
Invert and apply a Drop Shadow -- Changle the Blur to 10
Deselect.
Apply Noise at 3%
Apply the Eye Candy *jiggle*

SAME LAYER -- Load the 05-Inner Ears Dark selection.
Brightness/Contrast -- Change the Brightness to -50 (minus 50).

** 03 - Outer Ears

Highlight layer Outer Ears.
Load the 06-Outer Ears selection.
Flood fill with the color #C0C0C0.
Invert and apply a Drop Shadow -- Changle the Blur to 12
Deselect.
Apply Noise at 3%
Apply the Eye Candy *jiggle*

SAME LAYER -- Load the 07-Outer Ears Dark selection.
Brightness/Contrast -- same settings.

** 04 - Muzzle

Highlight layer Inner Ears.
Load the 08-Muzzle selection.
Flood fill with the color #FFFFFF.
Invert and apply a Drop Shadow -- Changle the Blur to 16
Deselect.
Apply Noise at 3%
Apply the Eye Candy *jiggle*

SAME LAYER -- Load the 09-Muzzle Dark selection.
Brightness/Contrast -- same settings.

** 05 - Eyes and Nose

Highlight layer Eyes Nose.
Load the 10-Eyes Nose selection.
Flood fill with the color: #000000 (Black).
Deselect.
Apply an Inner Bevel with the Round preset.

** 06 - Mouth

Highlight layer Mouth.
Load the 11-Mouth selection.
Flood fill with the color: #000000 (Black).

** 07 - Bowl Back

Highlight layer Bowl Back.
Load the 12-Bowl Back selection.
Flood fill with the color #000000 (Black).
Contract by 1.
Flood fill with the Wood pattern provided in the zip file.
Scale: 100 || Angle: 0
Deselect.
Brightness/Contrast -- Change the Brightness to -30 (minus 30).

** 08 - Honey 1

Highlight layer Honey 1.
Load the 13-Honey 1 selection.
Flood fill with the color: #EFC553.

SAME LAYER -- Load the 14-Honey 1 Dark selection.
Brightness/Contrast -- Change the Brightness to -50 (minus 50).

SAME LAYER -- Load the 15-Honey 1 Light selection.
Brightness/Contrast -- Change the Brightness to 50.

** 09 - Spoon

Highlight layer Spoon.
Load the 16-Spoon selection.
Flood fill with the color #000000 (Black).
Contract by 1.
Flood fill with the Wood pattern provided in the zip file.
Scale: 100 || Angle: 112

** 10 - Honey 2

Highlight layer Honey 2.
Load the 17-Honey 2 selection.
Flood fill with the color: #EFC553.
Deselect.

SAME LAYER -- Load the 18-Honey 2 Dark selection.
Brightness/Contrast -- Change the Brightness to -50 (minus 50).

SAME LAYER -- Load the 19-Honey 2 Light selection.
Brightness/Contrast -- Change the Brightness to 50.

** 11 - Bowl Front

Highlight layer Bowl Front.
Load the 20-Bowl Front selection.
Flood fill with the color #000000 (Black).
Contract by 1.
Flood fill with the Wood pattern provided in the zip file.
Scale: 100 || Angle: 0

** 12 - Honey 3

Highlight layer Honey 3.
Load the 21-Honey 3 selection.
Flood fill with the color: #EFC553.

SAME LAYER -- Load the 22-Honey 3 Dark selection.
Brightness/Contrast -- Change the Brightness to -50 (minus 50).

SAME LAYER -- Load the 23-Honey 3 Light selection.
Brightness/Contrast -- Change the Brightness to 50.

** 13 - Book

Highlight layer Book.
Load the 24-Book 1 selection.
Flood fill with the color: #C0C0C0.
Contract by 1
Flood fill with the color: #FFFFFF.

SAME LAYER -- Load the 25-Book 2 selection.
Flood fill with the color: #C0C0C0.
Contract by 1
Flood fill with the color: #FFFFFF.

SAME LAYER -- Load the 26-Book 3 selection.
Flood fill with the color: #C0C0C0.
Contract by 1
Flood fill with the color: #FFFFFF.

** 14 - Book Text

Highlight layer Book Text.
Load the 27-Book Text selection.
Flood fill with the color: #EFC553.

Of course, feel free to add your own text.

** 15 - Hands

Highlight layer Hands.
Load the 28-Hands selection.
Flood fill with the color #C0C0C0.
Invert and apply a Drop Shadow -- make sure the Blur is 16.
Deselect.
Apply Noise at 3%
Apply the Eye Candy *jiggle*

SAME LAYER -- Load the 29-Hands Dark selection.
Brightness/Contrast -- Change the Brightness to -50 (minus 50).

** Finishing Up...

I used the Darken, Lighten, and Smudge tools on the honey layers to make it look more realistic.

I also used Eye Candy 4000's Drip preset on the Honey 3 layer only. Play with the settings.

* You may also want to smudge the Outer Ears a little where they meet the head.
