Easy Flower 2

Starting out:

*You will need: Paint Shop Pro 8
*The zip file is here.

Open the Easy Flower file.

Selections will be opened by going to Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load Selection from Disk

** 01 - Stem and Leaves

  • Highlight layer Stem-Leaves.
  • Load the 01-Stem selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #008000.


  • SAME LAYER -- Load the 02-StemShading selection.
  • Adjust > Brightness and Contrast > Brightness/Contrast with these settings:
    Brightness: -60 (minus 60) || Contrast: 0

** 02 - Flower

  • Highlight layer Flower.
  • Load the 03-Flower selection.
  • Flood fill with the color of your choice.


  • SAME LAYER -- Load the 04-FlowerLight selection.
  • Brightness/Contrast - Change the Brightness to 50


  • SAME LAYER -- Load the 05-FlowerDark selection.
  • Brightness/Contrast - Change the Brightness to -80 (minus 80).

** 03 - Center

  • Highlight layer Center.
  • Load the 06-Center selection.
  • Flood fill with the color #FFD801.


  • SAME LAYER -- Load the 07-CenterDark1 selection.
  • Brightness/Contrast - same settings.


  • SAME LAYER -- Load the 08-CenterDark2 selection.
  • Brightness/Contrast - Change the Brightness to -110 (minus 110).


  • SAME LAYER -- Load the 09-CenterLight selection.
  • Brightness/Contrast - Change the Brightness to 110.
  • Deselect.

*Use "colorize" on the flower layer to quickly make several different flowers.

*Play around with the brightness/contrast.
  • I also like this flower done with these settings:
    04-FlowerLight at -80 (minus 80) and 05-FlowerDark at 80
