Open a new image 70 x 110
Select the Paint Brush tool with these settings:
Paint the outline using these colors: Black - #000000 || Red - #800000 || Orange - #CD8861 Note: I have tried to note where I left off from one screenshot to the next. * Double white lines mean you've already painted those pixels.

Now add the face. The colors I used are: EYEBROWS: Black - #000000 EYES: Black - #000000 || Dark Gray - #808080 || White - #FFFFFF BEAK: Dark Orange - #CD8861 || Light Orange: #E9B088 (The pixels that are light orange are shown with a red dot in the center) ![]() |

Select the Magic Wand -- Tolerance set to 0.
Select both feet and flood fill with color #E9B088. Selections > Select None Using the screenshot below, paint in the lighter orange pixels. The color is: #EEC3AB ![]() |
We will be using the following screenshot to help us color our penguin.
![]() Select the Magic Wand -- Tolerance set to 0. Select all areas with the number 1 .. (don't forget two single pixels on the head area)
Apply a cutout with the following settings: V: 0 || H: 0 || Opacity: 78 || Blur: 8 || Shadow Color: Black Selections > Select None Select area number 2. We will need this again in a few steps, so save it to an alpha channel. PSP 7: Selections > Save to alpha channel PSP 8: Selections > Load/Save Selection > Save to alpha channel
Select area number 3.
Select area number 4 (the heart).

Add a new layer named CHEEKS.
Load the selection you saved to the alpha channel. PSP 7: Selections > Load from alpha channel PSP 8: Selections > Load/Save Selection > Load from alpha channel Paint the cheeks. The color I used is: #DEA59C ![]() Keep selected and apply a Gaussian Blur of 2.0 Selections > Select None |
